The Vivarium Operations Coordinator will be responsible for understanding and overseeing the day to day operations of the vivarium. They will work with the Vivarium Manager to maintain, manage equipment, and coordinate validation/qualification activities as well as assist in the upkeep of the facility.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Manages the day to day operations of the vivarium which include but are not limited to:
    • Cleaning
    • Organizing
    • Inventory Tracking
    • Receiving
    • Waste Control
    • Restocking
    • Vivarium supply purchasing
  • Follows all SOPs and animal welfare guidelines as they pertain to job related duties
  • Assists in coordinating vivarium equipment maintenance activities
  • Provides team with key updates regarding vivarium changes
  • Provides new hire orientation of the vivarium lab space
  • All aspects of this position expose personnel to animal fur and dander. The veterinary technician must be able to comply with entry requirements for specialized animal facilities including, but not limited to health screening and the ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by SOPs or policies.
  • B.S. in Biology, Animal Science, or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience working in lab animal field
  • Experience in equipment maintenance
  • Strong documentation skills and the ability to multitask are required
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • GLP experience preferred
  • This position requires work on site at one of Sarepta's facilities in the United States. Candidates should be aware that Sarepta currently maintains a policy requiring all US-based employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to work on site. Newly hired employees must be vaccinated prior to their employment start date.
