Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role the Executive Director, Pharmacy is part of the Patient Access and Reimbursement team and reports to Head of Patient Access and Reimbursement. This role leads the teams responsibly for Access Marketing and Patient Support Programs (PSPs) operations for the Amgen brands reimbursed under the pharmacy benefit.

  • Provide oversight, leadership, and direction with respect to the patient access strategy and PSP operations for brands under the pharmacy benefit, including Inflammation, Cardiology and Neurology

  • Oversee development, maintenance, and execution of access plans on all covered products

  • Engage with brand leads and relevant GMs to ensure alignment and consistency with overarching brand strategy

  • Promote an environment of innovation and continuous improvement in helping patients can gain access to Amgen medicines

  • Ensure relevant Amgen PSPs are meeting or exceeding all KPI and delivering high-quality services to patients and providers

  • Demonstrate a commitment to team well-being and development

  • Ensure teams are operating compliantly

  • Establish team-level goals and priorities to accomplish and how to measure and track success

  • Collaborate with US Value and Access peers to deliver on broader access goals for the respective brands

  • Collaborate with Patient Access and Reimbursement Leadership team in support of vision and team

Basic Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree & 6 years of Access, Marketing and/or Sales Leadership experience OR

  • Masters degree & 10 years of Access, Marketing and/or Sales Leadership experience OR

  • Bachelors degree & 12 years of Access, Marketing and/or Sales Leadership experience AND

  • 6 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10 years of Access, Marketing and/or Sales Leadership experience

  • Leadership experience in managing leaders of leaders

  • Direct US payer, managed care, and pharmacy experience and/or health policy experience highly desirable

  • Executive communication and presentation skills

  • Experience developing strategies to optimize patient access within highly competitive markets

  • Experience and/or familiarity with design and implementation of patient access support and programs

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment; managing projects involving multiple functions and shared accountabilities

  • Demonstrated creativity in addressing strategic challenges
