Director, National Professional Relations (US Remote)

Lets do this. Lets change the world. This critical role will focus on maintaining and building relationships with external Opinion Leaders and large medical centers in Dermatology.

The Dermatology Professional Relations National Director will report to the Otezla Brand Lead with a dotted line to sales and will lead the national team of Dermatology Thought Leader Liaisons (TLLs) in the inflammation Business Unit. This Professional Relations Director will be a critical member of the Otezla Brand Marketing Team and will collaborate closely with the Otezla field sales team

Professional Relations Director will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:

OL Development and Management

  • Oversee national Opinion Leader professional relationships, including ensuring team is continually identifying new up and coming OLs, and cultivating relationships with national Opinion Leaders

  • Work cross functionally to drive and develop aligned external engagement strategies across multiple cross functional teams including medical, training, marketing, and sales

  • Oversee national speaker bureau activities, including working with TLL team to identify potential new speakers and per field request may attend local speaker programs

  • Oversee relationships with key national Dermatology Accounts and Psoriasis Centers, including identifying partnership opportunities

Conference Management

  • Support national conference plan, including managing national conference budget, and ensuring appropriate sponsorship levels at regional and national conferences

  • Attend national conferences to engage with national Opinion Leaders, attend product theaters, and scientific sessions as appropriate

Coordinate with sales and marketing

  • Coordinate closely with the sales leadership to ensure alignment with conference OL engagement plan, as well as other OL/account engagement

  • Provide customer and market insights back to the sales and marketing team and provide input into P2P development, advisory boards, and strategy

Additional Information:

  • Extensive business travel, by air or car, will be regularly required (Greater than 50% of the time)

  • Willingness to work evenings and select weekends is required

  • Located near a hub airport is recommended

Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree & 4 years of Marketing or Sales leadership experience

Or

  • Masters degree & 6 years of Marketing or Sales Leadership experience

Or

  • Bachelors degree & 8 years of Marketing or Sales Leadership experience

And

4 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of managerial experience directly managing people

  • 5+ years of experience working in Dermatology in sales leadership or marketing roles

  • Prior experience in thought leader engagement, regional marketing, sales, or sales leadership roles

  • Strong relationship building skills, with proven ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with OLs

  • Ability to exercise strong decision-making skills and live up to the highest ethical standards.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong track record in leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
