Director Development Program Management

Using extensive program management knowledge and experience in the drug development industry, the Director, Development Program Management (DPM) provides operational leadership, direction and support to a team, program or project of moderate to large scope, [within a given Therapeutic Area] as well as to the DPM department as a whole. The Director carries out the strategic direction of a program from preclinical through commercialization by driving the development and implementation of integrated project/program plans, goals, budgets, and timelines. This role is responsible for the successful operation of activities of major significance to the organization.

In this role, a typical day might include the following:

• Partnering with the Strategic Program Lead to provide operational leadership of program(s) and supports development and execution of overall program strategy by facilitating cross-functional Strategic Development Team.
• Independently assessing and proactively addressing the needs of the program from pre-IND through commercialization; making operational decisions to support requirements for success.
• Strengthening and leading strong performing teams.
• Driving team alignment in creation of integrated project/program plans, timelines and budgets and ensuring efficient delivery of plans.
• Directing annual program goal setting in alignment with Regeneron’s overall goals and monitoring progress against these goals.
• Championing potential program risks and ensures contingency plans are in place.
• Acting as a key liaison between Regeneron and our strategic alliance partners and collaborators (where applicable).
• Preparing, providing input, and/or managing the process involving major presentations for collaboration meetings effecting key business decisions.
• Being responsible for facilitating and driving decision making in support of the joint strategic objectives of the program.
• Having business ownership of existing project management planning systems and tools and understands how systems and tools can help drive the business; Applying significant experience to contribute to ongoing improvements.
• Ensuring effective, accurate, and timely scientific/technical program-related communication to the team and Sr. Management.
• Proactively identifying new processes and implement viable innovative solutions to cross-program, cross-functional, department or organizational issues, driving alignment with impacted collaborators; Championing process improvement initiatives and ensuring they meet the business needs.
• Acting as a leader by sharing best practices; coaching, influencing, and mentoring junior PMs and team members.
• Ability to travel up to 25%

You can balance multiple projects and priorities with outstanding organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a BS or MS degree with at least 12 years of relevant broad project/program management experience required, preferably in the pharmaceutical or related industry.
