The Role – Brand Protection Investigations, Manager

We are seeking a Manager, Brand Protection Investigations, reporting to the Director of Anti-Counterfeiting and Brand Protection Investigations, to investigate pharmaceutical crime and assist in bringing counterfeiters, fraudsters, diverters and illegal traders to justice. By doing so you will assist in improving patient safety and preserving Gilead's reputation.

Key responsibilities Include:
  • Manage and investigate assigned cases of suspected counterfeit, diversion and product related fraud while ensuring compliance related to internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams throughout the investigation process to ensure simultaneous movement of the investigation.
  • Foster and maintain relationships that support internal and external engagement and support for the Anti-Counterfeiting and Brand Protection Team's (ACT) priorities and goals.
  • Provide regular oversight to vendor managed programs, and vendor relationships.
  • Ensure that all case information is tracked in our case management system for proper tracking.
  • Provide internal and external education and awareness trainings related to ACT priorities and activities.
  • Attend industry meetings and represent Gilead's interests.
  • Collaborate with industry colleagues regarding sharing of intelligence, coordinating investigations, and strategic projects while representing Gilead's interests.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key law enforcement personnel in relevant regions.
  • Provide training to customs and law enforcement when needed.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in brand protection investigations or 10+ law enforcement experience
  • Proficient in the use of a personal computer and its applications, including Windows and Windows based applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze, problem solve, and manage multiple priorities in a high performing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively convey complex information in direct and concise manner.
  • Ability to respond in an appropriate time frame for investigations requests while ensuring internal alignment.
  • Exceptional level of collaboration with team members in a nimble organization.
  • Ability to work in varying situations, from team work to independent work.
  • Experience in generating reports for civil and criminal referrals.


Preferred Background:
  • Understanding of Pharma industry
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical supply chain
  • Experience in collaboration with various government authorities with positive outcomes
