Director, Supply Chain

The Director, Supply Chain will report to Senior Director, Global Supply Chain within Supply Chain & External Manufacturing group and will focus on maturing capabilities for Clinical Supply Chain and ‘upstream' areas, including product lifecycle management / launch readiness and managing the supply chain impacts of planned regulatory changes. The Director will provide leadership for accelerating the development of systems (SAP, Kinaxis), processes, analytics and know-how across the value-stream for enterprise impact. Results are achieved by embedding with business owners to connect the dots by design in line with PDM priorities.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Clinical Supply Chain group to support the effective inclusion of Clinical Supply Chain requirements into the global SAP deployment
  • Ensure product lifecycle information is embedded in systems and processes, including launch information, management of regulatory changes etc.
  • Support business functions with standardized documentation for cross-functional processes; develop training and learning content and key indicators of process health.
  • Using an enterprise mindset, develop and socialize the Supply Chain Systems & Processes design concept to strengthen cross-functional processes and collaboration.
  • Partner with other Supply Chain functions throughout the Network to support collaborations & E2E interdependencies
  • Be an active participant in Business Process Management (BPM) & organize Clinical Supply Chain and upstream governance forums
  • Partner with IT and upstream teams to successfully rollout SAP/Kinaxis solution (Project Bluestream)
  • Lead the Clinical Supply Chain / upstream change management, ensure adoption & operationalization of the SAP/Kinaxis design
  • Operationalize the Performance Management mechanism & governance structure
  • Embed with cross-functional teams to improve, transform, integrate and sustain business processes.
  • Work cross-functionally with the Master Data Management and Analytics team to ensure business processes and technologies have reliable and current data.
  • Organize effective engagement of the cross-functional Business Process Management community along the value-chain; foster collaboration and an enterprise mindset.
  • Right size department resourcing while making effective use of external business partners; ensure clear deliverables for contractors; prepare budgets and model required resourcing.
  • Lead the development of business cases for technology changes; ensure routine confirmation of value attainment.


Qualifications:
  • Primary degree in Business, Science or Engineering discipline highly desired.
  • BA/BA and 12+ years of related experience OR Master's degree and 10+ years of related experience.
  • Professional qualifications in supply chain management desired.
  • 10+ years of biopharmaceutical industry experience with no less than 5 years of that experience focused on management and leadership roles in supply chain functions.
  • Clinical Supply Chain knowledge is very critical for this role; experience of Product Lifecycle Management and launch planning in a GXP regulated environment is valued.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP (PP/MM/QM/LE) is highly desired
  • Experience deploying technology solutions supporting clinical, global planning, manufacturing, quality and logistics use cases.
  • Experience managing relationships with internal stakeholders and external business partners.
  • Demonstrates a collaborative mindset, nurtures teamwork and influences cross-functionally.
  • Proven ability to form and lead high performing teams dispersed across time-zones.
