Vice President of Finance

About the role:

Endpoint Health is growing, and we seek a highly motivated finance leader to join our team.

The Vice President of Finance will manage all corporate financial planning and analysis activities, including the consolidation, preparation, and management of the annual plan, quarterly financial forecasts, and long-term strategic plan. They will play a key role in developing the operating rhythm for the company and help scale processes for company-wide financial reporting and planning. This leader will drive the planning process, own the financial planning tool, influence business decisions, and drive organizational priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Establish & own the financial planning, cash, budgeting, and forecasting processes to measure & monitor business performance.

• Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports – analyzing operating and financial results, distilling/synthesizing key trends, assessing current and future business risks, and communicating key messages to senior management.

• Provide hands-on metrics-driven financial leadership to help accelerate growth and profitability and provide the executive team with the “operational insight” to manage the business better.

• Initiate proactive business dialogue and challenge assumptions to ensure sound financial decisions and improve business performance.

• Lead ad hoc financial modeling and analysis for special projects; build detailed financial models for scenario planning.

• Assess and implement processes and tools to ensure compliance with company policies and financial laws and drive systematic process improvements to increase productivity.

• Assist in developing financial presentations for Board of Director meetings, fundraising activities, and ad hoc presentations.

• Work with senior management to develop strategic and long-term financial goals.

• Participate in strategic projects from a finance & control point of view

• Participate/support in due diligence (Fundraising & Acquisitions).

• Manage relationships with outside service providers, including commercial banks, insurance brokers, legal, auditors, tax accountants, and outsourced functions.

• Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, audit and tax functions.

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or CPA a plus.

• 10-12 years of progressive relevant experience and demonstrated growth in Finance / FP&A positions in the pharmaceutical industry.

• Experience with corporate transactions, venture fundraising, IPO readiness, and transaction experience is a plus.

• Financial analytics in a Biotech/pharma company environment.

• Experience with building financial plans and forecasts with a good track record of accuracy.

• Working knowledge of US GAAP.

• Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a small emerging startup organization.

• Superior attention to detail while demonstrating the ability to see the “big picture.” Must exercise sound judgment with the ability to challenge assumptions and take an independent stance when appropriate constructively.

• Self-starter with a great work ethic and an analytical thinker with excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.

• High level of integrity and good judgment, with the ability to effectively deal with highly sensitive, confidential information.
