Position Summary & Role

This Drug Product (DP) Fill Finish Sales and Business Development role is responsible for growing business relationships with clients needing Drug Product Fill Finish services and is accountable for results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Objectives are to work with Resilience technical teams to define and package our overall DP Fill Finish offering and to work with BU heads to define our network DP strategy across modalities. Position will expand our client network to drive sales volume and profitable revenue for the Commercial organization. Our offerings will span across Drug Product offerings from pre-clinical to late phase / commercial supply. The role is responsible for building an active funnel of new Drug Product Fill Finish relationships and open opportunities to facilitate continuous business generation. Ability to generate new (pre-)clinical phase and commercial business prospects, with demonstrated ability to maintain and grow strategic customer relationships in the Drug Product Fill Finish market. Position responsibilities include use of technical knowledge and experience to drive new relationships and grow Drug Product Fill Finish accounts for the Commercial organization. This position is field based and requires up to 50 percent travel. The position requires superior leadership behaviors of the Resilience core competencies and non-negotiables, as well as expertise in the functional competencies included in this position profile. This position will serve across franchises as our expert on our DP Fill finish technical offerings in both a commercial development and BD sales function.

Essential Functions

  • Position responsibilities include use of deep industry DP Fill Finish knowledge and experience to package the Resilience DP Fill Finish offerings and drive new relationships to grow the Drug Product Fill Finish business for the Commercial organization.

  • Position will expand our client network to drive sales volume and profitable revenue spanning Drug Product offerings from pre-clinical to late phase / commercial supply.

  • Initial objectives include working with network technical teams to define and package our overall DP Fill Finish offering and to work with BU heads to define our network DP strategy across modalities.

  • Plans and implements sales & business development strategy for the global Drug Product Fill Finish business within the Commercial organization, including acquisition and management of business from small, medium, and large clients.

  • Position should work with inside sales and the Strategic team to research, identify prospects to target, and also leverage lead generation and marketing platforms.

  • Represents Resilience by attending trade shows and conferences and maintaining active membership and participation in industry member groups and events. Speaking opportunities are a plus.

  • Owns lead generation and conversion for early / late clinical phase and commercial manufacturing within the Drug Product Fill Finish business through the full sales process from prospect identification to close of business. Includes lead generation, proposal value proposition and pricing creation, follow-up on proposal, terms and conditions/contracting, and negotiations.

  • Knowledgeable and collaborates closely with Sales and Business Development and Commercial Development leaders across Franchises to pursue key client leads.

  • Ability to generate new (pre-)clinical phase and commercial business prospects, with demonstrated ability to maintain and grow strategic customer relationships in the Drug Product Fill Finish market.

  • Owns the customer relationship for Drug Product Fill Finish; maintains and drives continuous improvement and communicates customer needs internally. Collaborates internally and externally to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.

  • Ensure deals are in-line with the needs of the business segments with accountability for deal closure and driving account strategy.

  • Drives year on year growth of new business from existing and new accounts across franchises.

  • Maintains accurate customer data and updates to salesforce. Generates call summaries as they occur and monthly reports on activity, metrics, sales targets, or forecasts.

  • Assists in gathering market intelligence by reporting noteworthy information relevant to the Drug Product Fill Finish client base, competitors, and the marketplace. Monitors and reports on market and competitor activities and provides relevant reports and information, internally.

  • This position will serve across franchises as our expert on the needs of Drug Product Fill Finish clients, how best to appeal to their needs and how to structure large strategic deals.

  • On our DP Fill finish technical offerings in both Commercial Development and BD sales functions, this position will manage DP fill finish sales funnel across franchises and modalities to pull in the appropriate business portfolios.

  • Collaborates with Marketing to design specific marketing campaigns to meet the business goals and analyze inbound marketing data/trends to drive new business.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related life sciences / engineering field (Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, etc.) required. Advanced degrees preferred.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in CDMO sales and business development, project management, contract management, or development and manufacturing experience required.

  • Experience in contract negotiations and various business models including licensingand royalties, fee for service, clinical and commercial supply agreements

  • Experience in Drug Product Fill Finish development and manufacturing is required

  • Prior external sales, account management or business development experience is necessary

  • This position may be filled at a senior level if candidate experience warrants
