Operational Technology Engineer
Your Role:
• Operational Technology Engineer will design, implement, and operate Operational Technology (OT) systems and manage respective asset investment projects. In this role, you will define project tasks and work packages, and manage internal project teams as well as external suppliers with full responsibility for the quality, cost, timelines, and know-how protection.
• Our OT systems typically consist of a central process control system with data historian and interfaces to PIM-, LIM- or Manufacturing Intelligence systems. While defining, building, and maintaining these systems you are the interface to our local and global IT organizations. You are keen to manage medium-sized interdisciplinary, global teams of specialists. You are able to find the right balance between doing and delegating design, configuration, and management tasks.
• Operational Technology Engineer will be involved in continuous improvement projects for running systems and you will perform user training including security requirements. There is a 25% travel expectation for this role; both domestic and international travel.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, automation, or electrical engineering
• 3+ years' experience in OT system design and project execution of digitalization projects
Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced knowledge in OT infrastructure design, software engineering, ICS networks, and IT security
• Experience in implementing layers of protection for cyber security, OT, and IT
• Experience in configuring & operating virtual machines and virtual network technology (VMs, VLANs)
• Experience in planning & programming Siemens PCS7 distributed control systems
• Hands-on experience in configuration, installation, diagnosis, & maintenance of OT systems hardware and software
• Advanced degree in computer science, automation, electrical engineering, or related field is preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work on global, cross-functional teams
