Position

As a Cell Culture Scientist, you will develop and execute cell culture processes to support our technology platform. Primary responsibilities include developing, improving and troubleshooting cell culture processes to support several research programs and HTP automated screening. You will collaborate with colleagues both within and across teams to advance our mission.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop cell culture system including cell lines, media, processing reagents, and platform development to support our research programs
  • Oversee and troubleshoot our cell line engineering automated system
  • Utilize liquid handling systems and laboratory robotics
  • Provide creative solutions and demonstrate critical thinking
  • Keep detailed and organized records of protocols and inventory
  • Develop and optimize cell-based assays as it pertains to the core group services
  • Collaborate with team members to support upstream and downstream work

Qualifications

  • PhD in life sciences, chemical/biochemical engineering or related discipline with relevant experience in an industrial setting. Level depends on years of experience.
  • Experience handling cell lines including cancer cells, mammalian, and primary cells. Induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSCs) experience is a plus
  • Experience with automation and other high-throughput instruments
  • Scientific rigor towards continuous improvement of state-of-the-art cell culture technologies
  • Ability to show adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
  • Works well both independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to details
