The Immuno-Oncology team is seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to contribute to the discovery and validation of therapeutic approaches aimed at harnessing the immune system to treat cancer. The successful candidate will perform advanced in vitro assays as well as preclinical in vivo experiments. The qualified candidate will be familiar with techniques such as cell culture and mouse experimentation. The candidate must be highly motivated and organized with efficient time management, attention to detail, and is expected to effectively and frequently communicate and collaborate with colleagues.

As a Temp R&D Associate a typical day may include the following:

- Properly handle and care for mice, tumor implantation, tumor monitoring, drug administration and blood/ tissue sample collection.
- Utilize in vitro systems, including cell culture (both primary cells and established cell lines), transfection and/or viral transduction.
- Be familiar with bio-assays such as flow cytometry and ELISA.
- Analyze data using biological and statistical softwares, such as Flowjo, Prism, Excel, etc.
- Troubleshoot and revise experiments accordingly, make suggestions leading to potential improvements and help design new experiments.
- Additionally, the successful candidate should also be able to:

- Document experimental procedures and results in a well-organized fashion; present ongoing work at group meetings; contribute to the drafting of protocols, method development reports, and research articles.
- Initiate and maintain collaboration within and outside the group.
- Participate in advanced general lab duties of the team.

To be considered for this role, you must have a BS and 0-5 years or a MS and 0-2 years with expertise with animal handling; experienced in different methods of compound administration (i.v., i.p., s.c., etc), and tissue /sample collection. Ability to perform in vivo experiments utilizing tumor models in mice. Experienced in cell culture (both primary cells and established cell lines). Practical experience with flow cytometry, data acquisition and analysis. Skilled in a variety of in vitro/ex vivo immune cell-based assays, including planning, execution, analysis and record keeping. Experience with antibody technology or development is a plus.
