What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will support all system equipment in the manufacturing operation areas and will provide technical engineering support on all equipment systems technology optimization strategies, upgrades, replacements, and modifications and ensure that all of the maintenance team operations and activities are maintained in compliance with respect to current corporate policies, industry standards, regulatory standards and FDA standards Supporting a non-standard shift and extended hours including weekends, as per business needs.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Troubleshoot, repair and/or restore manufacturing equipment and or Process Control Systems in compliance with all applicable industry standards, regulatory standards, and FDA standards.
  • Evaluate and determine if utility systems, process maintenance, instrumentation/calibration/electrical systems and technical cleaning systems are maintained in compliance with all applicable industry standards
  • Identify improvement opportunities and engage in projects.
  • Develop technical guides and trainings for repetitive tasks and train others for continuous team development.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems of three phase, single phase and DC control circuits while complying with company safety rules and local and national electrical codes (NFPA, OSHA, etc.)
  • Foster partnerships with System Owners, Process Development Engineers/Scientist and SMEs to develop equipment knowledge.
  • Assist plant engineering in the evaluation and implementation of engineering improvements, policy changes, compliance improvements and optimization programs.

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The Senior Associate Tech Engineering professional we seek is an individual contributor with these qualifications:

Masters degree

OR

Bachelors degree and 2 years of maintenance experience

OR

Associates degree and 6 years of maintenance experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of maintenance experience

Beyond that, preferred additional qualifications are:

  • Educational background in Electrical, Mechanical or Engineering.
  • Experience in GMP environment in the pharmaceutical, medical device or Biotechnology Industry.
  • Hands on experience in one or more of the following systems: filling systems, Isolator technology, Isolator Air Handling Systems, Air visualization studies in Isolators, Cold Rooms, Glass Washers and Autoclave.
  • Technical experience in one or more of the following: instrumentation, electrical, mechanical, automation and operations related to Manufacturing areas
  • Self-learner, curious and engaged in control system technological trends to constantly develop technical competencies
  • Strong understanding in electrical print reading, solid state drives and other motor control technologies using servo or steppers (Motor starters, SCR, VFDs)
  • Knowledge of industrial networks (ASi, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP, etc.)
  • Good communication and technical writing skills in both English and Spanish
