Manager, Technology Business Development

What you will do

  • Develop & execute processes to support Enterprise Technology & Digital Health investment and/or partnership deal flow. Activities include vendor screening & due diligence, supporting deal execution, and alliance management.
  • Monitor technology trends & develop internal assessments/reports to inform Amgens Enterprise Digital Strategy
  • Establish credibility, trust, and respect with key cross functional Amgen teams to understand & solution their technology needs
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with external partners (e.g., investment portfolio companies) to provide internal awareness of portfolio companies progress and to drive the adoption of their novel technologies within Amgen
  • Synthesize and present technology investment portfolio analyses (financial or non-financial) as needed to cross functional teams and senior management
  • Seek additional opportunities to broaden value of investments/partnerships through current partner capabilities and offerings, or through collaborative innovation
  • Travel expected 0-10% as needed

Minimum Requirements

Masters degree and 2 years of healthcare technology, business development, partnership management, and/or management consulting experience

Bachelors degree and 4 years of healthcare technology, business development, partnership management, and/or management consulting experience

Associate degree and 10 years of healthcare technology, business development, partnership management, and/or management consulting experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of healthcare technology, business development, partnership management, and/or management consulting experience

Preferred Requirements

  • Knowledge of health technology, with the ability to identify opportunities that will drive business impact
  • Experience with Venture Capital
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed organization
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to build effective client and project team relationships
  • Ability to successfully prioritize a diverse workload to meet deadlines and collaboration expectations
  • High ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity; ability to see the big picture; ability to collect, digest, and assemble information to enable relevant business analyses and facilitate decision-making
