The Role

Reporting to the Senior Director, Research & Technical Operations Strategy, the Manager, Business Operations will lead the Research and Technical Operations (RTO) division's Internship program, Postdoc program, and overall employee onboarding experience. Ideally the incumbent will have operations experience, strong program management experience, and is great with people as well as with building communities and driving culture.

The role will partner with and deliver on all the needs/visions of all stakeholders (e.g. Intern Program experts, Postdoc Program leads, Human Resources Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Hiring Managers across RTO) to deliver an engaging business onboarding experience from day 1 to 90 as well as drive end-to-end program management for internship and post-doc programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and programming and execution of initiatives for Internship Programs, Postdoc Programs, and RTO Onboarding.

  • Create and manage project plans and objectives to ensure the successful end-to-end delivery of various programmatic initiatives to support interns and hosts relevant events.

  • Create new hire and new leader tools that focus on accelerated learning/trainings to support integration into the division.

  • Manage expectations and maintain relationships with cross-project stakeholders, to build rapport and credibility, plan, create, deliver content, and to provide and receive input to help achieve project goals.

  • Help extract, transform and build data structures, dashboards and reports to support Programs operational efforts and other internally sensitive and cross-functional asks. Build expertise on how to centralize information in a consistent and qualitative manner.

  • Provide accurate, clean and meaningful data for a variety of communication and reporting purposes (reports, decks, dashboards).

  • Manage financial program budget and forecast spend as needed.

  • Integrate inclusivity into talent development programs and talent practices to foster a sense of belonging and equality for all.

  • Design, implement and manage organization-wide onboarding training/capacity building for all levels of associates.

  • Provide key insights to business leaders and Human Resources on onboarding, engagement and integration ROI outcomes.

  • Research best practices, staying on the cutting edge of talent development initiatives, onboarding and engagement models.

  • Keep all relevant teams and stakeholders up-to-date and aware of project/program launches & opportunities for collaboration.

About you

Must Have/Required

  • Bachelor's Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience in program management, business operations or human resources

  • Experience in program management on cross-functional projects.

  • Experience working with data analytics tools and reporting platforms.

  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and ability to use data to drive strategy and decision making; process and detail oriented with the ability to think creatively and strategically.

  • High level of interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

May Have/Preferred

  • MBA (or working on one) in applicable discipline
