Manager, Commercial Pricing, Vaccines - REMOTE Work Arrangement

REMOTE Work Arrangement - This role is considered a remote position that is within a commutable driving distance to the Summit, New Jersey office to attend occasional in person meetings / events, as required.

Job Summary

The Manager, Commercial Pricing role is responsible for supporting the execution of strategic and tactical plans to gain or maintain optimal pricing for Seqirus brands.  The role serves as the primary point of contact for coordinating and aligning with key internal partners (Brand Marketing, Account Management, Field Sales, Contracting, Analytics, Field Reimbursement Support, and the broader Seqirus organization) to ensure plan cohesiveness and alignment. The role reports to the Associate Director of Pricing and sits in the Commercial Operations Team for North America.

Major Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the ability to leverage your strategic and analytical skills to develop price/value scenarios that optimize price and contribute to our company’s growth objectives, as well as;

• Support the execution of an over-arching pricing strategy, analysis, and execution in support of the S portfolio that is sold across multiple market segments

• Develop and define pricing strategies to achieve sales growth for current and future product offerings aligned with our vision and goals

• Gain knowledge of the annual cycle of pricing activities for endemic vaccines to maintain awareness of relevant internal/external activities and consider implications for own work.

• Interact with internal stakeholders to ensure pricing strategies and tactics are linked to the achievement of brand-specific business objectives.  Internal stakeholders include Brand Marketing, Sales, Salesforce Effectiveness, Field Reimbursement Support, Contracting, etc.).

• Evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies and tactics, including the development of program success metrics, evaluation criteria, feedback mechanisms, and return-on-investment analysis as appropriate.

• Support the execution of pricing strategies and tactics, including program exceptions that target key segment customers, in alignment with the broader integrated brand business plan.  Gains management approval by presenting strategic plans and detailed tactical plans prior to implementation of program exceptions including appropriate metrics to assess programming impact.  Supports tactical implementation and training of internal stakeholders and field-based professionals.

• Develop working relationships with internal stakeholders to maintain a thorough understanding of current market conditions.  Effectively communicates changes in market conditions related to brand objectives, pricing strategies, and tactics while communicating potential market impact to Senior Management.

• Analyze relevant market/environment insights and strategic/tactical guidance to support price recommendations for new product launches and participate in launch readiness plans across channels, as needed.

• Work with internal stakeholders (Finance, Contracting, etc.) to support pricing assumptions for sales forecasts attributed to channel customers. 

• Interact with external agency partners; supports or manages workstreams in conjunction with the agency (e.g. payor/provider pricing research).  Participates in the selections of vendors for programs and projects.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, health policy, health economics, life sciences or healthcare discipline

• 5+ years' pharmaceutical industry experience in pricing or other market access-related experience.
