We are looking for talented individuals to join our Sales team! If you love a fast-paced, ever-changing, challenging, and competitive environment, this may be the perfect opportunity for you.

Upon completion of full product training, you will be deployed into a field territory and assigned a mentor. You will demonstrate success in this role through collaboration with your Regional Business Manager and your Avanir field team, overall sales performance, and exemplifying the established behaviors of a Avanir Neuroscience Area Manager.

You will be asked to manage your territory, drive sales results, and demonstrate your overall business impact through your ability to influence customers, provide business insights, and continual development of market and customer knowledge.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide customers with current and comprehensive product and disease state efficacy/safety information to support on-label prescribing for appropriate patients.  

  • Daily activities include: one-on-one sales presentations to targeted health care professionals, arrangement of group selling programs; provide continuing education and value added services to a wide range of health care professionals; and analyze sales and market trends to effectively identify business opportunities. 

  • Implement account management strategies 

  • Execute sales force strategies and marketing plans effectively to meet or exceed sales objectives. 

  • Review and analyze market data for developing and implementing business plans that focus on selling to targeted customer segments / business channels. 

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to maximize customer satisfaction and drive profitable growth and sales targets. 

  • Comply with all legal and regulatory compliance requirements established by Avanir.

Education/ Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited four-year college or university (or the equivalent if education obtained outside of the United States) 

  • Strong computer skills; time-management, organizational and planning skills 

  • A demonstrated ability to establish and build relationships 

  • Ability to think strategically to identify, build, and deliver solutions to meet customer needs 

  • An intrinsic sense of curiosity and problem solving which allows you to understand and anticipate situations, identify appropriate solutions, and adapt to evolving needs of customers 

  • Ability to readily adapt personal, interpersonal behavior, and leadership behavior based on situational need 

  • A deep sense of self-motivation and strong drive to succeed 

  • Humility, transparency and credibility in communication and action which align to the Avanir C.A.R.E. standards and expectations 

  • The ability to communicate effectively using technology and across a range of mediums including email, face-to-face, and virtually 

  • Demonstrates a strong drive and passion for their work.  

  • Possesses a high level of emotional intelligence and leadership skills.  

  • Demonstrate learning agility and critical thinking skills 

  • High proficiency in Microsoft office products 

  • Valid Driver’s license and a good driving record under Avanir policy

  • This position will require individuals to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as part of your job responsibilities.

Physical Requirements:

This position primarily works out of a vehicle, office environment or facility. It requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and frequent walking. Daily use of a computer, phone, office equipment and other computing and digital devices is required. May be required to stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the offices or facilities.  Travel by vehicle plane and other means is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver’s license or effectively navigate public transportation is required. While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee must be able to read and respond to interoffice communications as well as effectively participate and lead meetings. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to lift up to 20 lbs., pull, push, carry, handle or feel.  The employee is required to carry, handle items, reach with arms and hands, to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Mental demands may require prolonged concentration, reading comprehension, understanding and interpretation of concepts, ideas and philosophies.  The physical demands of the position described herein are essential functions of the job and employees must be able to successfully perform these tasks for extended periods.
