What You Will Achieve
The Financial Analyst role based in Andover, MA is a position within PGS finance. The responsibilities of this position include participating in meaningful discussions surrounding manufacturing operations, FP&A activities, and participating in the annual budget setting process for medium size business units.
The role includes interactions with finance professionals and various business partners. This interaction includes assisting partners with understanding comprehensive budget issues and learning about different aspects within the manufacturing site including biologics operations.
The role will interact with the CoE and GFS accounting organizations on process improvements and compliance. Finally, presentations of financial information are required for this role.

How You Will Achieve It
Partnering with key leaders in order to understand business needs and translate to financial performance
Monitoring business processes and developing analytical tools to track trends
Improving internal financial processes to gain efficiency
Prepare and enter journal entries
Prepare account reconciliations
Ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures
Interactions with GBS/CoE colleagues on best practices
Prophecy in a SAP financial environment
Understanding of the manufacturing operations within API
Provide financial support for business and support unit leaders (Medium Size Business Units) ($25mm to $75mm)
Present financial data to business partners and contribute meaningfully to conversation
Develop and implement trend analysis and reporting processes for spending categories, financial models, and templates for analyzing investments, reporting tools for headcount, overtime, compensation and benefits and forecasting and planning tools• Identify financial team process improvements and implement changes
Be a key member of the financial reporting team to ensure all deliverables are met
Assist the financial team in being compliant with all SOX controls and financial reporting policies
Participate in strategic planning and the development of the annual operating plan and monthly forecasts
Strong Communication and Presentation Skill
Ability to work in a team setting and meet establish deadlines
Qualifications
Must-Have
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an Accredited University with one to 3 years of relevant work experience
Demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis
Demonstrated proficiency in financial systems and financial reporting aspects
Proven analytical skills and can understand and interpret data
Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) to create and manage spreadsheets, tables and presentations
Nice-to-Have
MBA, CPA, or CMA a plus
Proven experience in improving quality, performance or processes in previous assignments or projects
Strength in organizational skills
Experience in a Finance Center of Excellence
Experience in Auditing or compliance area
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Flexible work schedule & occasional travel required (less than 10%).
