Corcept is engaged in the discovery and development of drugs that treat severe endocrine, metabolic, oncologic and neurological disorders by modulating the effects of the hormone cortisol. Since 2012, we have marketed Korlym® for the treatment of patients suffering from Cushing’s syndrome, a life-threatening orphan disorder caused by excess cortisol activity.

In addition to our commercial product, Korlym, we have discovered a portfolio of more than 1,000 proprietary selective cortisol modulators.  Lead compounds are in Phase 2 and Phase 3 trials for the treatment of patients with Cushing’s syndrome, advanced ovarian cancer, castration-resistant prostate cancer, weight gain caused by antipsychotic medications and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (“NASH”).  We are about to start a Phase 2 trial in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (“ALS”).

In 2021, we generated revenue of $366 million and net income of $112 million.

Product Manager / Sr. Product Manager

The Product Manager/ Sr. Product Manager will lead the roll out of key speaker bureau and HCP marketing initiatives for Korlym’s Cushing syndrome indication and contribute to the long-term brand plan life cycle management.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the execution of speaker bureau and HCP marketing tactics to ensure brand objectives are met
  • Contribute to the strategic development and execution of speaker Bureau and HCP marketing
  • Manage Peer-to-Peer content development for branded and unbranded content including Slide Decks, Roundtables, Steering Committee content, speaker training, and any related field content
  • Manage key Speaker Bureau initiatives such as Steering Committees, Speaker Nomination process, and KOL engagement
  • Work cross-functionally and partner with different stakeholders to deliver on impactful projects
  • Develop and deliver presentations to a range of internal (sales, cross functional colleagues, etc.) and external audiences (Steering Committees, Faculty Speaker Slide Reviews, Speaker Trainings)
  • Working closely with promotional review committee to manage content approvals, timelines, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies
  • Support planning and execution of product theatres
  • Oversee agency relationships and ensure that performance and spends are optimized
  • Travel required

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Technical Proficiencies:

  • Ability to influence multiple internal cross-functional teams and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong speaker bureau management experience
  • Scientific/medical aptitude and experience
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting pharmaceutical products
  • Experience working with and managing multiple external agencies

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (scientific background preferred), Master’s degree is a plus
  • 3-5 years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience
  • Speaker Bureau management experience is preferred
  • 3 years’ experience in brand management
  • Endocrinology and/ or rare disease experience is a plus
