Position: Intern, Project Management

 

Reporting To: Associate Director, Project Management

 

Position Objective

Nitto BioPharma, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery and development of novel RNA-based therapeutics for intractable diseases.

 

Project management is a key function to support Nitto’s pipeline programs and alliances.

This position will support the project management team to ensure smooth progression of internal programs and external collaborations in addition to supporting inter-company activities with corporate partners. In addition, the intern will have the opportunity to learn about drug discovery and development in a fast-paced biotech environment.

 

 

Major Job Functions

· Support integrated project planning processes including scheduling, risk management, communication plans and reporting

· Provide active meeting management by distributing meeting agendas, capturing minutes and decisions, and tracking action items

· Organize completion of project team deliverables and contribute to content development as appropriate

· Assist in the reporting of projects and portfolio updates to management

· Assist in the preparation and review of project management procedure and SOPs as needed

· Update and utilize project management tools and templates; Support initiatives for Project Management process improvements

 

 

Education, Licensure and/or Experience

 

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry or other related discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Project, Visio) is a plus.
• Must be extremely organized, able to multi-task and work well with others across different disciplines and levels in a professional setting.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and have effective time management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well in collaborative fast-paced team environment.

 

 

Physical Job Requirements:

 

Office/Lab environment. Mandatory Covid-19 vaccination policy in place. Lifting up to 20 pounds may be required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone keypad or to write, as well as talk and hear. They are required to stand, walk or sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
