The Andelyn Biosciences’ Customer Development Team is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team as Inside Sales/Business Intelligence.

The Inside Sales /Business Intelligence role will achieve sales and activity targets on assigned territories across varying market segments and meet all relevant metrics as set by Andelyn Leadership products and services to existing and potential customers remotely. Accountable for all sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory or market segment. Tasked with developing and managing a sales pipeline closing business over the phone. Develops and implements an agreed-upon Operating Plan which will meet both individual and business objectives including expanding customer sales in the assigned territory. Works within the Direct Sales team to achieve territory growth targets, customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term customer goals through an understanding of the market and in line with company business strategy.

The name “Andelyn” is a hybrid of two gene therapy pioneers who participated in pivotal Phase I clinical trials at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Andrew received the first U.S. investigational gene therapy for Duchenne muscular dystrophy in 2006. Evelyn received experimental gene therapy for spinal muscular atrophy in 2015. “Andelyn” combines their names, representing all the families who have courageously participated in the research that make today’s gene therapies possible. 

 


Since then, Andelyn commissioned 2 brand new buildings of 185,000 and 50,000 square feet of Clinical, Commercial, and pre-Clinical state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities that will be operational in April and August 2022.  This will enable Andelyn experts that have been manufacturing Gene Therapy solutions for > 20 years to provide the scale and breadth of services to all researchers in any phase of their Gene Therapy development and commercialization.


 


Under the guidance and direction of the Chief Commercial Officer, essential functions of the Inside Sales/Business Intelligence include at a minimum:


 

·       Outbound prospecting to the cell and gene therapy community. Global biotech/biopharma, Big Pharma, virtual/startup cell and gene therapy orgs, biotech capital investment firms, research institute/hospital/university laboratory clients as a target market for CDMO viral vector and plasmid manufacturing-related services

·       Understanding and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts.

·        Focused on actionable insights – able to deep dive into unstructured and structured data to understand trends and clearly communicate the “why” behind the data

·       Expert with data visualization concepts and design – able to transfer data into digestible, understandable visuals to support business decisions

·       Explore, examine, and interpret data to generate insights and use them to drive market demand, forecast and build scalable solutions

·       Able to communicate complex data and concepts to non-technical audience

·       Propose creative solutions to existing business challenges using data

·       Develops opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and prospectively preparing quotations.

·       Develops accounts by understanding the client and current research, toxicology, and/or cGMP clinical stage for pipeline program(s)

·       Maintains and improves quality results by following standards and recommending improved policies and procedures.

·       Accomplishes departmental goals by accepting ownership and responsibility for different requests.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

·       Must possess relevant four-year degree OR relevant master’s OR relevant Ph.D., background in the life sciences, biotechnology, or gene therapy industries preferred

·       CRM, software, and phone skill/proficiency

·       Experience with customer metrics, analytics and business tracking tools required

·       Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and adjust as priorities change

·       Must be highly skilled in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) including data interpretation and reporting

·       Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a diverse and inclusive work environment

·       Must possess a client-focused mindset in daily tasks

·       Must possess prior experience handling confidential information and the ability to maintain confidentiality
