What You Will Achieve

Working with a dynamic team of Temperature Controlled Logistics and Supply Chain Experts, you will play a critical role in planning and managing the efficient flow of products and services through the Pfizer supply chain cycle. You will ensure that the products arrive on time and within acceptable quality parameters meeting the desired marketing and financial objectives. Through your extensive knowledge in temperature controlled supply chain management, you will guide the execution and continuous improvement of logistics processes and systems to meet customer requirements.

As a Manager, you will help in preparing forecasts for resource requirements, and providing areas of improvement for temperature controlled logistics related products, processes or services.

You will be able to take a leadership role to facilitate agreements between different teams.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Leads and supports investigations, inspections, audits, and regulatory filings for temperature control incidents, products, and processes.

  • Responsible for the implementation of Corrective and Preventative Actions of temperature excursions and other unplanned incidents.

  • Lead change controls and risk assessments in accordance with defined processes.

  • Ensures the training and compliance programs throughout the region so that all functions impacting the delivery and handling of temperature sensitive products are fully trained.

  • Leads regional customer meetings to ensure compliance and transparency on logistics incidents.

  • Leads meetings with forwarders and quality to resolve logistics incidents, ad-hoc queries, and it is the link between external logistics operations and internal Pfizer operations.

  • Partners with the sites, markets, Logistics Delivery Operations, Logistics Platform Services, Customer service and logistics providers, to ensure that temperature sensitive products are shipped and handled in a compliant and efficient matter according to all regulations and Pfizer quality standards.

  • Work with appropriate functional areas to ensure that IO strategic providers and vendors are approved/qualified.

  • When required, support the authoring of operational, performance qualification protocols, reports and technical documentation supporting qualification strategies.

  • Supports Transport Qualification and the network by executing Performance Verification studies as needed.

  • Provide subject matter expertise on Regional regulatory logistics requirements for shipping temperature-controlled product.

  • Promotes the zero defects mind set for implementing continuous improvement processes with key stakeholders and the logistics providers.

  • Assist or lead projects designed improve or implement new packaging and solutions balancing Quality, compliance, and cost efficiency.

  • Deploy and provide training and monitoring for the systems utilized to drive and measure performance across the network.

  • Supports the development of metrics and KPI’s for shipping of temperature-controlled product.

  • Real time shipment intervention and ensuring follow up actions with transportation suppliers are actioned against predefined playbooks and Standard Operating Procedures.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 3-5 years experiences in logistics, thermal engineering, transportation or supply chain management in an international environment preferably pharmaceutical

  • Strong investigations skills, proven experience of continuous improvement

  • Ability to gather, analyze and interpret, relate and compare information from multiple sources and identify cause and effect relationships supporting CAPA investigations

  • Preference of temperature control logistics experience/background

  • A solid understanding of GMP/GDP requirements as it relates to transporting and protecting temperature sensitive products within the supply chain

  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written (English) with both technical and non-technical clients

  • Demonstrated collaborative, consultative, problem solving, prioritization and analytical skills

  • Aptitude to learn, develop, and adapt to change

Nice-to-Have

  • Master's degree

  • Relevant pharmaceutical experience

  • Advanced training in project management, supply chain management, scientific or clinical disciplines, business administration and/or people development

Physical/Mental Requirements

Ability to manage multiple tasks and define priorities
