ROLE SUMMARY
The Pfizer Digital Manufacturing Team is responsible for enabling a world-class Manufacturing and Supply Chain organization by increasing visibility and efficiency across diverse systems and processes, reducing waste, and delivering predictive analytics and insights. These solutions are deployed at every level of the PGS (Pfizer Global Supply) Plant Network across more than fifty manufacturing & center locations across PGS globally.
PGS Design Standards is a multidisciplinary team that supports Digital PGS solutions by using collaborative methods with a human-centered focus to ensure the best solutions are in the hands of our PGS colleagues.
We are seeking a UX Research Senior Associate with a background in applied qualitative and quantitative research methodologies who can synthesize all the complexities of delivering business and customer value into engaging, intelligent, and intuitively transformative digital solutions.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
UX Research Senior Associate – PGS Design Standards colleague’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Execute research initiatives by applying a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative methods using human-centered design principles within the Scaled Agile framework
Drive team alignment by developing research strategies that answer critical questions
Explore opportunities for future innovations through design research, leveraging key insights and data
Collaborate with other researchers, designers, engineers, and product teams to ensure research translates into actionable and relevant insights
Identify and understand business context, demands and opportunities
Facilitate research debriefs and collaborative design thinking workshops to spark ideation and evaluate designs
Synthesize data from multiple sources and communicate insights or recommendations in compelling and creative ways
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a human behavior-related field (Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology or other related field)
3 years related experience in a Digital, applied research, Service Design, Interaction Design, Human Factors, IA or similar role
Ability to conduct research that varies in approach, scale, scope, timeframe, and methodologies
A solid understanding and demonstration of user centric design principles
Experience with remote testing tools and best practices
Ability to collaborate actively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Enthusiasm, patience, and a solutions-oriented attitude toward any risks and challenges
Comfort with ambiguity and complex problems
Organized, able to act independently, and able to switch between different projects in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity in emergent technologies and how to apply them to different business challenges
Ability to confidently present work and to accept or provide constructive feedback
Experience utilizing Lean and Agile methodologies
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
UX, HFI, Agile, or equivalent certification highly desirable
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks a plus
Pharmaceutical or Manufacturing Industry experience a plus
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to manage many parallel objectives and changing priorities. Working with various stakeholders from multiple groups.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Post pandemic – 10% occasional business travel
