We have a full time Bids and Quotes Specialist position available to support our Sales and Business Development teams.  This position has the potential to be based with any of our locations (St. Cloud, Kalamazoo, Lexington or San Diego) or remote. 

We hold every member of our team to a high standard of excellence – because everyone on our team makes an impact on our success and contributes to our ability to thrive in the rapidly changing environment.  We are looking for a motivated person who is eager to learn and grow as a member of our team.  In this role, you will be responsible for working with the business development managers and operations teams at each of our four locations. You will be directly responsible for pricing implementation, generating competitive analyses, strengthening overall service margin and leading day-to-day operations of the Quotations section.  This position will directly support the efforts of the Business Development team and Services Product Manager.

What can I expect in this role?

  • Receive clients’ instructions to render our services
  • Follow up and correspondence with various bodies, including but not limited to associates, agents, and customers
  • Provide specialist quoting services to the Business Development team and end user customers
  • Create quotes at agreed upon margins
  • Work with our in-house system (Conga/Salesforce.com) to send quotes to clients
  • Obtain and maintain current information on customers’ ongoing pricing agreements/MSA’s/MTA’s
  • Work with operations teams in Kalamazoo, San Diego, Lexington, and the St. Cloud custom manufacturing and virology teams to develop quotes for our customer base

Here is what we are looking for:

  • Four-year finance, business, microbiology, life science or related degree preferred, equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Two years' previous experience in a similar role developing pricing strategies preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the bids and quotes process required.
  • The ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire to be considered. Proof of vaccination will be required upon hire.
