Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to designing, planning and execution of experiments towards the development of next generation clinical cell preparation processes for Neurona's cellular therapeutics (in collaboration with Neurona's Process and Preclinical teams).
  • Technical and scientific support as Neurona's representative at clinical sites during cell transplantation procedures (in collaboration with cell therapy lab and clinical CROs).
  • Participate in the training and technology transfer of cell preparation procedures to clinical sites.
  • Travel to clinical sites might be required.
  • Manage equipment and material inventories as needed throughout clinical studies (in collaboration with Neurona's QA team).
  • Understand SOPs, proactively report compliance concerns and adverse events, and contribute to mitigatory actions and strategies (in collaboration with Neurona's Regulatory Affairs team).
  • Present data at team meetings. Generate scientific reports and contribute towards regulatory submissions.
  • Contribute towards the optimization of cell culture processes for interneuron manufacturing from pluripotent cells.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Life sciences or related field with 0-2 years of comparable experience in the Pharmaceutical/Healthcare industry.
  • In depth experience in mammalian cell culture and/or expansion of pluripotent stem cells is a requirement
  • Extensive experience with culture of pluripotent stem cells or primary neuronal cells is a plus
  • Previous experience with upstream or downstream cell culture process development
  • Excellent computer, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and across multi-disciplinary teams.
