Senior Manager, Supply and Inventory Planning

Reporting into the Global Supply Chain Planning function, the Senior Manager Supply & Inventory Planning is responsible for ensuring supply chain efficiency and effectiveness in meeting the demands of a rapidly growing multi-site ecosystem by providing leadership and direction for supply and inventory planning, at a network-level and a site-level as needed, for Raw Material through Finished Goods. This position helps establish standards and practices for model supply and inventory planning functions, including developing policies, procedures, and techniques that are consistent with the strategic RESILIENCE direction and sound principles of supply chain management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee materials planning activities (at a Network Level and a site level, as needed) including inventory and supply planning for raw materials through Finished Goods directing the flow of these materials through various RESILIENCE and 3PL warehouse locations.

• Create and maintain a dashboard of KPIs reflecting plan/process effectiveness and drive positive results. Complete root cause analysis and close any gaps between plan and performance through appropriate countermeasures.

• Assist in the deployment and maintenance operational tactics supporting execution of RESILIENCE surety of supply strategy in a quantitative, fact-based manner and aligned with varying levels of supply risk and patterns of demand.

• Proactively identify potential business issues and/or supply constraints, develop risk mitigation plans and other countermeasures as required.

• Actively lead continuous improvement efforts across material planning processes by applying structured A3 methodology.

• Collaborate and support other RESILIENCE processes and functions, such as Sales & Operations Planning, Procurement, Site Supply Chain, QA Raw Material Release, and Warehousing & Logistics.

• Provide required guidance and support to technology and infrastructure activities related to material planning and the broader supply chain.

• Function as a subject matter expert in supply chain best practices and quantitative inventory and supply planning methods.

• Coach and mentor associates, helping develop skills required for advancement, drive innovation, and create engagement.

• Performs other duties as assigned; some travel required (10%).

Qualifications:

• Position requires BS in business, engineering, or scientific discipline with a minimum of 10 years related experience.

• MS/MBA with a minimum of 7 years related experience, including 5 or more years of management responsibility, in the biopharmaceutical industry or other regulated GMP environment strongly preferred

• Professional certification strongly preferred CPIM, CSCP, CPSM or CSSBB.

• Prior cGMP regulated experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry a plus.

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, demonstrating a solid understanding of fundamental principles and system dynamics

• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and tools with Lean, Six Sigma, or Lean Six Sigma credentials preferred; green belt or higher

• ISM or APICS professional certification strongly preferred; CPSM, CPIM, CSCP

• Proven leadership, Strong organizational, decision making, time management skills

• High degree of customer focus

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment

• Must be comfortable in a fast-paced company environment with minimal direction and ability to adjust workload based upon changing priorities
