Associate Manager Calibration & Lab Maintenance

The Associate Manager Calibration & Lab Maintenance will primarily lead all aspects of calibration of instruments & equipment as well as laboratory maintenance, including compliance and management of contracts and projects. As a leader of this diverse and dynamic team, you will manage day-to-day operations of the Calibrations & Laboratory Maintenance group, staff leadership, and resource management.

As an Associate Manager Calibration & Lab Maintenance, a typical day might include the following:

• Managing the Technical Operations Calibrations & Laboratory Maintenance teams as well as outside contractors to maintain equipment in validated state to support production schedule.

• Planning departmental staffing patterns and operating expenses.

• Overseeing contracts for day-to-day activities and projects, as well as coordinating work with appropriate internal departments, contractors, and external agencies.

• Taking ownership of project planning, budgeting, design & project management.

• Operating as the area authority, assuring timely completion of department-related quality investigations and presenting related topics & details to regulatory inspectors.

• Collaborating with other department managers to maintain process and utility equipment as required.

• Striving for excellence in customer satisfaction initiatives through planning, implementation, follow-up, monitoring, and issue resolution.

• Have at least 3 years of proven experience operating within a calibrations maintenance program.

• Possess a minimum of 3 years' experience in a leadership role, developing, mentoring, and providing oversight to staff.

• Are experienced operating in pharmaceutical, cGMP, or other regulated environment, such as food or chemical processing.

• Are skilled at building consensus, collaboration, and creativity within a team and possess excellent analytical and influencing skills.

• Enjoy working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

• Strive for compliance with regulatory, corporate, and site-specific policies and procedures.

• Find working in an ambiguous environment with changing priorities exciting.

• Are open and receptive to change, while looking for opportunities to continuously improve.

To be considered for this position, a Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred, ideally in the areas of engineering, science, or technology, along with the following minimum experience:

• Associate Manager: 6 years of engineering, maintenance, manufacturing and/or project management experience with BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Manager: 7 years of engineering, maintenance, manufacturing and/or project management experience with BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Level will be determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.
