A new role at Penumbra, the International Traffic Controller will be responsible for prioritizing and managing incoming orders and track and trend the international transit times. They are a vital part of the company quickly responding to urgent requests to process shipments in both regular and emergency situations, and thus play a critical role in saving patients' lives.
What You'll Work On
  • Maintains accurate logs and files for receipts, lot control, and daily shipments.
  • Works with Planning on forecast and quarter end distributor shipments
  • Works directly with Customer Service on release of orders
  • Processes daily shipment reports for supervisor
  • Maintains appropriate segregation of product in process
  • Schedules freight pick ups
  • Creates metrics on delays, damages and on time delivery of shipments
  • Updates workflow tracker daily, communicates delays

What You Bring
  • The desire to be part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment where there's something new to learn every day.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize assignments while handling various projects simultaneously.
  • A High School diploma or GED.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, stores, and inventory control.
  • Computer experience; Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools(Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and inventory management software.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient understanding of GDP requirements.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
