ROLE SUMMARY

The US Rare Endocrine and Neurology franchise is one the most rapidly growing businesses across Pfizer Biopharma, with 60% 3-year CAGR, and a stellar pipeline including two breakthrough asset launches (“25 by 2025”) in the next 2 years.

The US Rare Endocrine Marketing Team Lead will serve a critical lead role for the US Endocrine franchise to ensure short and long-term success of the portfolio. This leader will be responsible to define the strategic portfolio vision, advance key franchise imperatives, drive performance of the commercialized portfolio (Somavert, Genotropin, Elelyso) and lead readiness efforts for the anticipated US launch of Ngenla in the Glocal construct. The role will lead the Endocrine marketing team with a laser-focus on key portfolio opportunities. This will include maximizing revenue performance of Genotropin with effective contracting strategies in anticipation of our expanding Growth Hormone franchise, proactive identification and execution of growth opportunities for Somavert, while delivering a best-in-class launch for Ngenla in a highly competitive market. The lead will also advance the BM 3.3 vision, innovation and marketing efforts for the Endocrine portfolio in close collaboration with cross-functional partners.

This position requires senior level marketing expertise, strong strategic, analytical, execution and decision-making skills. The successful candidate should be a self-starter with proven track record of exceptional leadership and cross-functional collaboration, demonstrating ability to prioritize, high agility and an innovative mindset to set the future vision for the portfolio.

This role will be leading a marketing team of 4-5 direct reports and sizable cross-functional teams to deliver on financial and operational targets, managing strategic and tactical oversight across the portfolio. This position reports to the Senior Director, US Rare Disease Endocrine & Neurology Marketing Team Lead.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee strategy, planning and execution to drive performance of Endocrine portfolio
  • Uncover and translate relevant customer insights into commercial plans and execution of key initiatives
  • Create growth opportunities and innovate novel approaches tailored for the highly targeted, highly competitive markets
  • Oversee marketing strategy and tactical prioritization across customers and stakeholders including prescribers, key accounts, payers, specialty pharmacies, patients and advocacy organizations
  • Oversee franchise promotional budget. Prioritize and differentially allocate resources across the portfolio assets to maximize patient and commercial impact
  • Continue to advance our emerging capabilities in customer interaction, digital marketing and real-world data promotion in line with BM 3.3 principles
  • Lead team efforts to ensure launch readiness for Ngenla (e.g., market development, portfolio strategy, innovative contracting and patient service models), champion GLocal launch excellence model
  • Closely collaborate with PH&I & PCA colleagues to identify and drive innovative access and contracting strategies and ensure seamless access to Ngenla
  • Anticipate changes in the competitive and payer landscapes and proactively develop relevant response plans and launch strategies
  • Represent brand priorities in response to payer RFPs and in executing brand contracting strategy
  • Partner with marketing, analytics, payer marketing, strategic customers and sales colleagues to understand performance trends and identify portfolio opportunities
  • Develop and monitor key metrics to evaluate portfolio performance, BM 3.3 evolution and drive continuous improvement
  • Lead strategic development and execution of business-critical deliverables including Operating Plan and LRF
  • Coach, inspire, develop and support the team of marketers. Lead with an inspiring team vision and cultivate an empowering team culture

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS degree required, MBA or other advanced degree highly desirable
  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical commercial experience including marketing; product positioning and branded experience is required
  • Previous in-line US or global Marketing experience preferred
  • Demonstrated success executing complex marketing programs that drive performance
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with varied internal stakeholders to improve business performance
  • Demonstrated track record of achievement and of influencing business outcomes across diverse functional boundaries and leading a high-performing team
  • Solid business acumen and organizational skills with excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including senior management
  • Strong analytical skills; detail and action oriented; creative
  • Self-motivated and a team player
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver results on multiple, complex, competing projects in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Endocrine experience preferred; rare disease or specialty experience strongly preferred
  • Product launch experience preferred
