What You Will AchieveThe Medicine Design Business Operations and Strategy team is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Medicine Design including financial management, resource management, asset management, communications development, portfolio reporting, as well as general operations support while also supporting strategy development, implementation, and progress reporting and global communications. We focus on developing and maintaining fit for purpose tools, reports and data to support key business/portfolio decisions across Medicine Design. The team is responsible for Medicine Design’s implementation, analysis and continuous improvement in support of key business tools and initiatives including Activity Tracking and RAPID. The Business Operations Coordinator’s role is key to generating and maintaining the data and reporting necessary to support these responsibilities.
How You Will Achieve ItAccountable for performing essential Business Operations responsibilities supporting Medicine Design and enabling the efficient operation of the organization. Responsibilities include:
Work collaboratively with the Med Design Capital Lead to manage the capital asset acquisition process including:
Complete CERT on behalf of end user, generate Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders
Track progress against capital budget
Ensure timely invoicing and capitalization of all assets
Assist with asset inventory
Support Med Design capital prioritization process
Process NOEMS as necessary to align Fixed Asset Register to physical inventory
Manage space planning activities for Groton and KSQ
Contributes to a variety of essential business and resource management support services in support of Medicine Design to enable effective management of operations.
Contribute to other Bus Ops & Strategy ad hoc projects as necessary
BA/BS required
Strong analytic capabilities to simplify complex data in order to translate data into actionable reporting solutions
Strong customer focus and track record of developing excellent customer relationships
Prior experience with software supporting Business Operations (Spotfire, SAP, Business Objects, Ariba, Excel, Teams etc.)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, Outlook, etc.).
Strong oral and written communication skills
Self-Motivated and able to work independently, with a track record of on-time delivery in complex and often ambiguous situations and within tight timelines
Contemporary knowledge of one or more areas of R&D preferred
Familiarity with chemistry / biology lab instrumentation a plus
MA/MS/MBA a plus
