ROLE SUMMARY
Global Clinical Supply (GCS) manages the execution of supply chain strategies to deliver Investigational Medicinal Product to patients involved in Pfizer’s clinical research trials across the globe. The Data Management and Analytics Sr. Associate role provides hands-on data reporting, data visualization, data science and data modeling support across the entire GCS organization. For this position candidates will need to be a creative problem solver and have a strong commitment to quality to successfully deliver optimal data related solutions. As part of the Data Strategy and Analytics team, this role, leverages a variety of data management, advanced analytics tools, and technologies to deliver prioritized business use cases. Primary responsibilities include:
Applying data mining, data transformation and data analytics to develop statistical/optimization models.
Creating meaningful data visualization or outputs files and communicate findings with stakeholders.
Interpret results and communicate them to technical and non-technical audiences, cross-functional teams, and executive leadership.
Develop approaches to turn goals into data driven solutions that use advanced analytic tools to drive decisions with velocity
Design, build and deploy predictive and prescriptive models using statistical modeling, machine learning, and optimization
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Understand requirements from GCS business lines and Business Intelligence team and develop analytics using tools like Alteryx, SpotFire and Dataiku – Data Science Studio.
Maintain and nurture the Data Marketplace’s data catalog. Curate, monitor and maintain metrics for data catalog.
Profile data to identify data quality issues with data flowing into the GCS Data Marketplace and implement measures to improve data quality. Assist with reporting on data quality and data marketplace metrics.
Develop Analytics workflows in the GCS User Defined Data Marketplace space using Alteryx and/or Dataiku - Data Science Studio (using AI/ML) to solve business problems
Add data sources where needed through the User Defined Data Marketplace
Develop reporting solutions including Spotfire (visualization support, maintenance, and development) and SharePoint (support, maintenance, and development) for Data Marketplace related initiatives. Provide enhanced system support for these solutions.
Solve complex supply chain and logistic challenges using analytic algorithms and AI
Design, build and deploy predictive and prescriptive models using statistical modeling, machine learning, and optimization
Have a strong understanding of system development life cycle, computer system validation and Good Practice (GxP) requirements.
Document tasks, issues and resolutions using designated tracking tools, as applicable.
Interface with Digital staff and vendors.
Assist with system testing, maintenance and validation of data marketplace
Assist with documentation and change management activities for data marketplace
Provides application support to customers in an appropriate manner using the GCS Data Marketplace.
Support GCS Data Marketplace system testing, reporting, and monitoring efforts
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in statistics, computer science, data sciences, supply chain or related field from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2 plus years of proven experience with reporting tools, software, and other applications (like Data Catalog), including but not limited to SQL, Alteryx, Alation, Pipeline Pilot, Spotfire or Tableau
Considerable exposure to the operation and analysis of relational database software and standards, as well as data retrieval methodologies.
Ability to work in ambiguous situations
Demonstrated skills in analysis and problem solving
Knowledge and experience working in a GMP / GCP environment
Experience and understanding of system validation / software development lifecycle
Comfortable preparing and presenting ideas and information in a variety of settings
Must have strong inter-personal and customer service skills
Comfortable working with a global team, partners, and customers in a change agile environment
Expertise in Extract Transform Load (ETL) and Analytics technology like Alteryx
Expertise in Business Intelligence technology like Spotfire
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Python, R or similar programming languages
Experience with Dataiku Data Science Studio
Experience with Data Catalog tools like Alation
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Big Data Technology (For example: AWS Glue, S3, Redshift, Redshift Spectrum)
Experience with Database query (SQL), business analysis and technical writing skills a plus
Skilled in working across multiple systems and processes for issue resolution desired
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Management and analysis of large data sets from various source systems
Able to articulate information, findings, and complex data solutions concisely and with clarity to management
Understanding of transactional data & flows across systems, data mapping and hierarchy concepts, and management reporting
Data Analysis skills; Proficiency in analytic languages and frameworks such as Python, R; Proficient with SQL and Visualization solutions including Spotfire and Tableau.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Travel is limited to approximately 15% for this role
