The Workday /People System Administrator role under general supervision is responsible for administration and day-to-day operation of Workday. This function is accountable to ensure that the HR Applications Security is configured as per the Workday and other vendor application’s recommendations and global standards The Admin has to build a working relationship with all internal and external key stakeholders. This position participates in all phases of Workday implementation and ongoing support processes. This role is administrative in nature and requires Workday product knowledge, hands-on implementation, and post-production support experience. Lastly, the Workday/People System Administrator participates in the establishment and maintenance of policies, procedures, and associated training plans across the Workday and other People systems tool stack.
You Will:
  • Provide expert knowledge in implementation, maintenance, and overall administration of the Workday platform and other internal People system tools (Qualtrics, Lever, Rewards Gateway, Charthop, etc.)
  • Have strong knowledge in creating Intersection, Aggregation & segment-based security groups, Workday functional areas and associated Domain and BP security policies
  • Have strong experience in managing, implementing or supporting Workday business process, configuration & administration of HCM security groups, domains, security profiles
  • Provide guidance to end users regarding their requests when needed - Analyze system functionality with customer and identify gaps to provide proactive resolutions 
  • Manage Workday Access Control projects across modules: Segregation of Duties (SOD) and sensitive access, access request management and emergency access management.
  • Maintain system configuration, security matrix, and data audits 
  • Provide governance and policy support for SOX controls.
  • Assist as the escalation point for unresolved security issues as directed
  • Assist with compliance reporting and system monitoring
  • Support regression testing and introduction of required changes as new Workday and associated tools releases are introduced
  • Continually monitor Workday community for updates, changes and practices
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to existing business practices, processes, workflows, and tools
  • Maintain GRAIL system specific documentation as required for a SaaS solution in a highly regulated environment

Your Background Should Include:
  • 5+ years of experience working with HCM systems in a professional, fast-paced environment
  • Workday Pro Security certification is highly desired
  • Workday Security admin experience a plus
  • Works well in a collaborative team environment
  • Prior experience managing multiple People Systems stack is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with employees at all levels
  • Analytical approach to solving system issues including understanding system interdependencies
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and able to shift direction quickly when priorities change
  • Experience with change management in a regulated environment a plus
