Senior Occupational Health Nurse/Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner will provide health services including injury/illness care, and health surveillance testing, and case management.

This position is responsible for providing services for a comprehensive occupational health program for the Bristol Myers Squibb Redwood City site.

In this position, the Senior Occupational Health Nurse/Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner will participate in case management and administration of health services for a pharmaceutical Research & Development site. The program complies with BMS Corporate Standards as well as federal and state occupational health and safety regulations and laws.

The position will be located in the medical clinic at the BMS Redwood City site, and will report directly to the BMS Director, Occupational Health.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with all local state and federal occupational health and safety policies/standards.
  • Provide clinical services to the employees at Redwood City. This includes triage, examination, diagnosis and treatment where appropriate.
  • Provide health surveillance testing, including EKG, spirometry and phlebotomy.
  • Work with BMS disability and worker’s compensation insurance providers to provide case manage services for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses and short and long-term disability claims.
  • Participate in the development of company-wide and site-based health and wellbeing programs.
  • Coordinate research phlebotomy program.
  • Actively use existing Occupational Health electronic medical record.

Qualifications:

Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner

  • Must be RN and APRN licensed in CA with MSN degree.
  • COHN-S preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in occupational health preferred
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Senior Occupational Health Nurse

  • Must be RN licensed in CA, BSN degree preferred.
  • COHN-S preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in occupational health preferred
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
