General Summary

Orum Therapeutics is seeking a cell biologist with experience in in vitro drug discovery to join our dynamic and growing team in Cambridge, MA.

 

We are working to develop novel targeted therapies to address unmet medical needs in oncology, immunooncology, and other diseases. Entering the clinic, while maintaining focus on both treating patients and developing the next generation of treatments. A dynamic, fun, high-paced, collaborative, and empowered work environment with a focus on moving from idea to drug to therapy.

 

The right candidate is excited about joining a team looking to improve the lives of patients. Deeply organized and experienced with running multiple projects to deliver transformative results. You are team player with independent initiative, ready to implement lean and focused “killer” in vitro experiments to drive validation, lead identification, and candidate optimization. Experienced with multiple cell culture techniques and technologies (lab automation, live-cell imaging.

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

·         Expertise in cell culture techniques and cell-based assays (CTG, FACS, etc.)

·         Experience with protein- and RNA-based detection technologies (western blot, ELISA, RT-qPCR, etc.)

·         Experience with small-molecule screening

·         Background in immunology or oncology

·         Some experience with cellular degradation assays such as HiBiT preferred

·         Some experience with biochemical protein interaction assays such as HTRF preferred

 

Skills, Abilities & Competencies

·         1-3 Years of industry experience

·         Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines in an unknown environment with competing priorities.

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills, auditing skills, and proven ability to work autonomously and manage effectively in a matrix environment.

Education- Bachelors/Masters Preferred
