What You Will Achieve

Working with a dynamic team of procurement experts, you will play an important role in negotiating contracts with suppliers for the procurement of goods, services and supplies. You will facilitate category management, purchase goods and services for ongoing operations and manage corporate services.

As a Manager, you will provide guidance to operational teams for managing procurement projects. Your planning skills will help in preparing forecasts for resource requirements, and providing areas of improvement for products, processes or services. Through your comprehensive knowledge of principles, concepts and theories of this discipline, you will work towards advancing new concepts and methodologies. You will be able to take a leadership role to facilitate agreements between different teams.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Provide guidance and lead projects, managing own time to meet objectives and plan resource requirements for projects across the department.
  • Deliver site category management, including the development of specific strategies for complex capital projects and management of cross-functional teams.
  • Enable supplier selection, decision and approval processes, risk management, business case development, project execution, and facilitate contract development and support negotiations as applicable.
  • Execute the elements of Pfizer's Supplier Management process in accordance with program guidelines.
  • Continually evaluate and monitor market conditions and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly.
  • Ensure efficient operation of transactional activity to meet cost, quality and customer expectations.
  • Effectively utilize Pfizer's eSourcing capabilities globally and regionally in advancing sourcing initiatives.
  • Identify cost savings opportunities and work with the applicable business colleagues.
  • Lead and/or participate in CCT (Category Collaboration Teams) comprised of regional leads/representation.
  • Assure the integrity and compliance with the current Pfizer procurement guidelines and corporate procedures.
  • Partner with HR and regions to establish and revise global temporary labor strategy that is consistent with Pfizer's talent acquisition need.
  • Take a lead role in Local and Regional client relationship management with senior stakeholders.
  • Mediate to resolve service related issues with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish appropriate tools (scorecards, etc.) for communication, monitoring progress of implementation and ongoing compliance.

ROLE SUMMARY

Sourcing & Enterprise Services (SES) delivers world-class procurement capabilities to Pfizer, partnering with internal Pfizer customers to ensure they receive maximum value for every dollar spent with Pfizer suppliers. We accomplish this by executing effective strategic processes, including category management, supplier management and sourcing projects, all supported by efficient procure to pay processes. We add value by aligning Pfizer with the best suppliers, promoting continuous improvement in supplier performance and driving compliance with Pfizer’s intellectual property and privacy requirements. We strive to obtain the right price for the right product or service.

As part of the Sourcing & Enterprise Services (SES) Sourcing Operations & Enablement (SOE) team, the Global Project Manager serves as a Subject Matter Expert & provides project management and thought leadership support for Pfizer’s overall strategy. This role to help advance Pfizer’s training and change management capabilities. The Colleague Engagement and Training Lead will serve as a business process owner and facilitate training across various systems (e.g., Ariba BOD, Fuse integrations, supplier enablement, etc), This role will also serve as a subject matter expert in the SOE systems to help resolve issues and support Pfizer colleagues interpret complex issues. In addition, they will be expected to drive other special projects in the area.

The Colleague Engagement and Training Lead will play a critical role enabling and optimizing the efficiency of tools used at Pfizer by defining and establishing a comprehensive, easy to use, modern training program. This role will need to work closely with SES,SOE, Global Business Services, Business Finance and Digital (Information Technology) to understand the spectrum of training and change management needs. The resource will be required to develop a deep understand of all tools used and independently

Qualifications

Role Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Enterprise BOD Training and Change Management Program:
    • Serve as Business Process Owner
    • Maintain and refresh program’s vision
    • Facilitate and administer program
    • Serve as subject matter expert to resolve issues
  • Coordinate across project team, larger SOE team, Digital, SES, and GBS partners to implement training improvements. Identify additional improvement opportunities and leverage new emerging tools and capabilities.
  • Support User Group sessions with customers to ensure their understanding of new functionality and to collect feedback on system challenges
  • Ensure that program improvements are appropriately communicated across Pfizer business groups and divisions.
  • Continuously support and develop a collaborative cross-functional team environment and continuous improvement mindset.

Must-Have

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience?
  • Excellent understanding of the end to end procurement process, including category management, strategic sourcing and supplier management
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing complex, cross-functional activities
  • Understanding of analytical models and techniques
  • Strong negotiating techniques and knowledge of procurement procedures
  • Basic knowledge Ariba, System Application & Products eSourcing, and other system related activities
  • Good client engagement and customer relationship management skills
  • Articulate communicator with effective interpersonal skills

Nice-to-Have

  • Procurement experience in a comparable Blue chip organization and/ or customer service environment
