Lets do this. Lets change the world. The Results Delivery Office (RDO) is an advisory arm of the company designed to help Amgen achieve its mission to serve patients. We work directly for and with senior leadership and their organizations at all levels to drive transformation and adapt to change. The RDO focuses on developing a rigorous and repeatable operating rhythm framework and execution system to ensure delivery of company-wide commitments and priorities including process simplification, enterprise-wide continuous improvement, advancing a culture of resilience and embracing change by leveraging change management, best practices and data driven approaches to transformation.

In this vital role you will drive RDO capabilities and support execution of the enterprise priorities. The position will have regular interaction with capability leads, functional leaders initiative teams to solve business problems and build and embed continuous improvement capabilities.

The successful candidate will support initiative leads, or provide liaison support, for components of the prioritized initiatives, drive improvement opportunities through the use of RDO capability frameworks and toolkits, develop approaches to improve productivity and implement comprehensive change strategies to transform the organization and enable it to adapt to business challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Thought partnership in the design and execution of prioritized initiatives
  • Development of subject matter expertise for RDO methodologies & tools, and advising and coaching initiative teams on their application
  • Support execution of the process simplification framework for prioritized initiatives, including but not limited to working with the business functions on translating the framework requirements to business requirements, performing stakeholder analysis, ensuring alignment with all relevant stakeholders, identifying and resolving interdependencies, and managing connectivity between the business and the RDO
  • Track and report project status as required by the results delivery office for corporate roll up and review
  • Manage ad-hoc requests from the leadership

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Scientific or Business experience

OR

Masters degree and 4 years of Scientific or Business experience

OR

Bachelors degree and 6 years of Scientific or Business experience

OR

Associates degree and10 years of Scientific or Business experience

OR

High school diploma / GED & 12 years of Scientific or Business experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (or equivalent) in Business, Science, Finance and/or Technology
  • 6+ years of cross-functional consulting, project management, change management and/or transformation initiatives
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to storyline and prepare executive-level summaries
  • Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to bring structure to vaguely defined problems and ability to break-down complex issues into manageable tasks
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytic skills
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to influence different styles
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and adaptive to change
