Summary/Objective:

We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable solutions to problems across the full stack. The successful candidate has a firm understanding of software engineering and front-end, as well as back-end frameworks. This role sits at a unique intersection of deep-learning, software-engineering, genomics, synthetic-biology, and computational biology; as such, the successful candidate will have an opportunity to pick up new interdisciplinary skills that can be broadly leveraged in the field of next-generation healthcare. Successful candidates will join an exciting and fast-paced team focused on improving human health worldwide through highly innovative CRISPR and Synthetic Biology-based platforms for molecular diagnostics.

  • Work across the full stack to build software pipelines that efficiently and securely capture various data-streams within the company
  • Mentor stakeholders across the organization in best practices for scalable data capture and analysis
  • Document processes related to back-end design, configuration, and performance.
  • Collaborate with a fully remote team of scientists and engineers to advance broader computational research.

Required Education and Experience:

  • BSc and minimum of 6 years’ professional experience in computer-science / software engineering.
  • Direct experience working in Python and with AWS / GCP .
  • Demonstrated experience in building web applications and RESTful APIs.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Java & React.
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience working with SQL and related language.
  • Knowledge and experience of various database-design architectures (e.g. Snowflake).
  • Excellent communication skills and creative problem solver in Python programming.
  • Must be familiar with Linux (i.e. Ubuntu) and distributed computing methods (e.g. Slurm).
