GRAIL’s multi-cancer early detection (MCED) test is now available in the US market. This position will be responsible for providing critical support to the Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) team for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting real-world databases to assess the potential impact of MCED on patients and the healthcare system. 

The Health Economics Director, working closely with a diverse cross-functional team, will participate in designing and performing studies analyzing real-world databases (e.g. Medicare, SEER, MEPS, Medicaid, commercial claims datasets) on the burden of cancer and the potential impacts of MCED.

You will...
  • Help design projects analyzing health services and cancer epidemiology datasetsDevelop statistical analysis plans and conduct analysesInterpret and summarize key outcomes from the analyses, preferably including visualization Support identification of appropriate datasets for questions of interestSupport ad hoc analyses of proprietary datasets where requested by the cross-functional teamProvide input into HEOR-related strategy for evidence generationSupport HEOR publications (i.e., abstracts, congress presentations, manuscript development) 


Your background should include...
  • PhD in relevant discipline (e.g. statistics, public health, economics, epidemiology); or MS with experience conducting HEOR data analyses
  • 5+ years of professional experiences  in conducting database analyses, or a similar field to support HEOR studies
  • Experienced in programming for HEOR database analyses; familiarity with R preferred
  • Experience in health economics or outcomes research in oncology biopharma or diagnostics preferred
  • Familiarity with major health economics databases, e.g. MarketScan, MEPS
  • Familiarity with epidemiological databases and modeling, preferred
