To help us meet our goals we are looking to hire a Bioinformatics Scientist, Assay Development to join our family!

In this role you will be responsible for:
- Apply knowledge of computational biology for the development of multi-omics single-cell NGS assays.
- Design highly multiplexed amplification assays capable of interrogating genes, mutations and biomarkers on single cell multiomics platforms.
- Develop new assay for our Pharma customers to address cutting edge biological and technical questions in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Develop bioinformatics and statistical methods, prototype new product features and applications designed to have clinical impact on cancer patients.
- Communicate analysis results to internal and external stakeholders
- Work closely with collaborators in industry and academia on translocation research. Work cross functionally with the Mission Bio commercial and scientific teams to support project planning and commercial launch.
To be successful in this role, your background and experience should include:
- Demonstrated ability to assess assay performance and derive biological insights by evaluating sequencing results using data visualizations and statistical tests.
- Experience working with single-cell data. Experience with multi omics data is a plus
- Expertise in at least one scripting language – R and/or Python and linux shell environment
Education and Experience:
- D. or Master’s in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics or related quantitative fields.
- Strong background in analysis of large NGS datasets and development of algorithms for NGS (e.g. variant calling, copy number detection, etc.)
- Experience with good software development practices (e.g., testing, code documentation, code review)
