General Scope and Summary 

The Data and Analytics team sits in the Digital and Enterprise Capabilities group and is responsible for driving the strategy, implementation, and delivery of Data, Analytics, and Automation capabilities across the Sage Enterprise. This central team will deliver “Next-Gen Value” by establishing core Data and Analytics capabilities needed to effectively manage and exploit Data as an Enterprise Asset. The Associate Director, Data Quality Operations will be responsible for implementing and supporting Enterprise Data Solutions and capabilities, which will enable teams across Sage answer strategic and business questions through data.

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Manage overall data solutions, ensuring adherence to data quality metrics by establishing standard operation procedures and best practices/playbooks.

  • Champion the advocacy and adoption of enterprise data assets for analytics and advanced analytics through optimal operating models.

  • Provide day-to-day ownership for data quality/data management support cases and other ad-hoc requests.

  • Create standards and frameworks for data quality.  

  • Collaborative cross-functionally to develop and implement data quality policies, balancing centralized control and standardization with decentralized speed and flexibility.

  • Create procedures, team, and policies to support near and real time clean data, where applicable, or in a batch and close process, where applicable.

  • Improve processes by tactically focusing on business outcomes. Drive prioritization based on business needs and strategy.

  • Lead and control data quality workflow operations by driving critical issues and discussions with partners to identify and implement improvements.

  • Responsible for defining, measuring, monitoring, and reporting of key SLA metrics to support Sage vision.

Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills 

Must thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient. Must have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to understand stakeholder pain points, and the ability to analyze complex issues to develop relevant and realistic solutions and recommendations. Must have a demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action, excellent technical skills, and an ability to communicate complex issues in a simple way and to orchestrate solutions to resolve issues and mitigate risks. 

Basic Qualifications 

  • BA/BS in IT or related field required.

  • 8+ years of experience in data management, data quality, data operations, or related technologies.

  • 8+ years of experience in defining and building Data Quality SLAs and reporting for them.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of cloud data platform- AWS services.

  • Understanding of a variety of business intelligence and analytical software package (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.).

  • Strong operational background with experience building and supporting always-on production data platforms.

  • Ability to communicate persuasively and concisely across different functional audiences at varying levels of seniority.

  • Awareness of regulatory impacts to data in the life sciences business, such as GxP.

  • Ability to deliver fast, show quick wins, and have the big picture in mind.

  • Ability to work with external vendors and hold them accountable.

  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make quick decisions.

  • Knowledge of agile methods and delivery techniques.
