Position Summary:
You’ll work with Project Team Leaders and functional area leads to actively manage highly technical, cross functional projects and to ensure the execution of drug discovery and development programs in a dynamic, collaborative environment. As a key member of project teams, the Sr Manager/AD, Project Management is expected to be knowledgeable about all aspects of the project to help guide the team in strategic planning and execution. If you are the ideal candidate you are detail oriented, highly organized, have excellent interpersonal skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This opportunity will provide exposure to various facets of drug development from research through IND filing and into development.
(Position level will be commensurate with experience.)

What you’ll do:

    • Guide individual project teams (in close collaboration with the Project Team Leaders) to manage the development and execution of project strategy in alignment with team and corporate goals
    • Support the development and execution of project plans and deliverables, ensuring adherence to timelines
    • Develop and maintain timelines, track milestones and other program activities
    • Support Project Team Leaders by organizing and facilitating project team meetings, developing meeting agendas, recording minutes and tracking action items
    • Identify and anticipate risks to the program and timelines. Bring these issues to the attention of key stakeholders  
    • Provide support in resolving issues, with contingency planning and risk mitigation.
    • Be accountable as the primary contact for project team related information
    • Leverage well-developed interpersonal skills to build & maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders
    • Prioritize program activities across multiple projects within the company’s pipeline
    • Identify, recommend, and implement opportunities for streamlining team processes


    • Bachelor’s Degree required. Advanced degree in biology, chemistry, or related discipline preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in biotech/pharmaceutical industry and 3+ years of Project Management experience supporting cross-functional teams in a scientific environment
    • Knowledge of project management principles, tools and practices
    • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical drug discovery and development; oncology experience is a plus 
    • High attention to detail and extremely organized
    • Good analytical and planning skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication  
    • Outstanding cross-functional teamwork; works collaboratively, efficiently and effectively with others
    • Self-motivated, with the ability to take ownership of and follow through on specific tasks, initiatives or programs. 
    • Ability to manage a range of projects simultaneously and shift priorities quickly while working under tight deadlines. 
    • PMP certification, lean, Six Sigma or other formal training in project management is desirable.
