The Sr. Manager is a key position within the Strategic Alliances team that focuses on achieving Regeneron’s strategic objectives through significant external collaborations. The Sr. Manager of Strategic Alliances will frequently interact with senior leaders and project teams across all functional verticals to provide the leadership, intellectual impetus, and strategic direction for the collaborations. The role combines science, business and ownership of programs that connect multiple internal teams with Regeneron's strategic partner organizations.

In this role, a typical day might include the following:

  • Lead strategic discussions pertaining to partnership matters (e.g., establish the overall direction of the alliances together with senior leadership, frame up major strategic questions, achieve internal consensus by providing a single-point of accountability for collaboration matters, etc.)
  • Align discovery, development, manufacturing and commercialization activities for the collaboration programs towards the overall goals of the alliances.
  • Represent Regeneron’s interests and provide communication for seeking internal and external consensus to ensure collaboration objectives are met all while maintaining a collaborative working relationship both with internal stakeholders and alliance committees.
  • Identify, address and resolve any issues related to collaboration activities to keep the portfolio progressing and timelines on track.
  • Work closely with the legal and finance groups on collaboration matters, provide guidance regarding the letter and spirit of agreements to internal teams.
  • Participate as an active member of business development deal teams as collaborations are structured and carried out.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must: have a degree in a scientific or business field; MD/PhD/MBA preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience with responsibility in the healthcare industry. A solid understanding of all stages and aspects of the drug development process; discovery through commercialization. A proven track record working with business development teams with experience in structuring, negotiating, and implementing deals.
