Project Manager, Calico Operations

In partnership with Project Directors (PD) and senior level Project Managers (PM), the chosen candidate will lead several Discovery projects as part of AbbVie’s collaboration with Calico. The Project Manager will work with internal project teams, Calico and elite external collaborators to build project and resourcing plans to operationalize project strategies and meet key objectives and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build cross-functional relationships and teams across sites and functions as well as with external partners
• Craft partnerships with legal, contracting, Discovery operations, and other teams as necessary to develop processes to match contractual terms with existing internal processes and compliance
• Collect and compile project information through various reporting systems and ensure information is accurate
• Communicate appropriately with Project Director and external partners to drive our science and meet contractual obligations on time
• Develop and evaluate project plans on a routine basis to identify resource and schedule conflicts; provide recommendations for decision making
• Work with internal and external collaborators to develop agenda and lead governance meetings per contractual obligations
• Review critical path; identify potential bottlenecks and opportunities
• Identify issues impacting cross-functional team alignment and elevate for resolution to PD
• Assist in risk assessment and risk mitigation strategies
• Participate with Discovery process improvement initiatives
• Responsible for communicating project level information to the PD/PM/external partners
