Earli, Inc. is currently seeking a high-caliber Data Scientist to contribute to join our Informatics team.

Your Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate across the company to understand new and existing workflows within functional teams and across functional teams for information requirements gathering

• Design, develop and implement database schema design within Benchling to warehouse experimental and sample data

• Conceive or determine and implement standardized ontologies (industry or custom) with mapping terminology relevant to each respective functional team enabling cross functional data analysis and visualization

• Design, develop and implement Workflows and Templates within Benchling to streamline and track request and fulfillment within and between functional teams

• Assist with backfilling relevant legacy data into built Templates, Workflows, and schemas within Benchling

• Design, develop and implement data analytics and visualizations using Benchling Insights, Tableau, or Spotfire that integrate with Benchling warehoused data via API calls to expose trends and quickly identify bottlenecks, data QC, missing metadata

• Design, develop and implement cross study / experiment analytics and visualizations either within Benchling as Dashboard or externally leveraging a custom software appropriate for the functional team (e.g. DOE via JMP)

• Primary stakeholder that communicates findings from data analytics internally and trains users to leverage visualizations, reports, or API for meta-analyses from warehoused data

Your Required Experience, Knowledge and Skills

• Masters degree or equivalent industry experience within a relevant field

• Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in database schema design, data clean, data analysis, and data visualization

• Understanding of biology concepts and terminology to enable rapid requirements gathering and design of schemas or ontologies; focus in one or more of oncology, drug delivery, medical imaging is a plus

• High degree of creativity and flexibility in use of tools and application of algorithms (such as machine learning) used for data science

• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills are required

• Able to multi-task, manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively within a team

• Ability to think independently and fully integrate into a high achieving team environment
