Overview:

Coherus BioSciences seeks an Inventory Manager to join the growing Supply Chain team and play a lead role in helping us to make our ground-up ERP implementation a success. The successful implementation of this system will be key to our growth as we transition from being a single product company to a multi-product company in the coming year. In this role, the successful candidate will have overall responsibility for ensuring that the inventory levels of Coherus’ clinical and commercial products are accurately and compliantly (GMP and SOX) reported at all times.

Specific job responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute work Instructions for the daily use of Oracle to ensure Coherus’ inventory is accurately reported within Oracle at all times.
  • Act as the liaison between the Technical Operations (Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Quality) and Accounting organizations to ensure that internal resources are best utilized during the financial period close.
  • Develop a close partnership with colleagues in Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, IT and Accounting.
  • Support the Accounting organization during financial period close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting of inventory balances and material movements.
  • Develop reports and metrics for Supply Chain Leadership, allowing timely decision making and problem solving.
  • Work with colleagues in Coherus Accounting to develop and execute a cycle count program.
  • Create Purchase Orders in Oracle for Coherus Raw Materials and Finished Goods.
  • Maintain Coherus inventory records to ensure real time accurate reporting of clinical and commercial inventory through the completion of daily transactions including stock transfers, work orders, inventory adjustments and disposals.
  • Maintain and assist with the implementation of Supply Chain policies, procedures, techniques, standards, and systems.
  • Proactively report product and raw material availability issues as they arise.
  • Coordinate drug returns for re-distribution and for disposal activities with contract manufacturing sites as appropriate.
  • Review inventory reports for quantity, lot status and expiration dates. Rebalance CMO inventories when needed.
  • Investigate, report and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Review and revise departmental SOPs to streamline and to improve current practices.

Preferred Experience:

  • At least 5 years’ experience, including 3+ years in Supply Chain or Materials Management, in a highly regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing/development environment.
  • Experience working with CMOs and external partners.
  • Working knowledge of cGMPs and GxP systems or other pharmaceutical product management systems.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical operations principles and industry best practices.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills with the ability to positively influence key decision-makers.
  • Strong sense for internal relationship building and stakeholder management.
