Senior Clinical Research Associate Consultant

Freenome’s Senior Clinical Research Associate will monitor and support the activities at clinical trial sites participating in breakthrough in-vitro diagnostic blood tests to detect early stage cancers and support the successful design and day-to-day execution of clinical trials from concept through publication. Key accountabilities include the successful conduct of clinical studies consistent with applicable regulations, guidelines, and procedures and managing clinical project timelines, budgets, deliverables, and overall communications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support the activities at the clinical trial sites to recruit and enroll study participants
• Ensure data quality and follow up with site coordinator on the data input of the clinical data capture into electronic data systems
• Manage the communications with the site staff on patient recruitment activities and coordinate patient visits and procedures related to clinical research
• Act as resource for study sites and participants by answering questions and explaining related procedures
• Ensure the study site is compliance with all local and federal laws and regulations
• Monitor study sites and activities to ensure the appropriate industry protocols and terms of the study are being followed
• Participate in the hiring and training of staff members who are working on the study both on ICH GCP and on protocol related materials
• Create thorough documentation of study protocol and update it as needed

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in healthcare, nursing, and life science based field with at least 5+ years of prior clinical trial experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry
• Must possess superior analytical and creative thinking skills
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to keep detailed, accurate records
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of laboratory procedures and equipment
• Advanced organizational and planning skills
• Proficiency in Google Suites and MS Office programs
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be fluent in English and posses solid writing abilities

Our Science

Freenome is building technology to advance the understanding of cancer through multiple analytes derived from blood. These signals include cell-free DNA, methylation of cell-free DNA, cell-free RNA, circulating proteins, and immune profiling derived from thousands of prospective samples. By developing novel statistical learning methods and applying them to integrate various -omics datasets, Freenome is a leader in modeling specific biological mechanisms to capture disease-dependent signatures, including gene expression, immune response, tumor burden, the tissue of origin, and 3D chromatin structure.

By building comprehensive discovery datasets and modeling critical biological systems, Freenome is learning what biological changes are present within the blood between a variety of different disease states, including cancer, autoimmune disorders, infections, drug response, and aging.
