Job Details

The Manager, Site Budgets is responsible for (1) developing accurate and timely total investigator grants and per subject cost estimates, based on the study design and schedule of events (using a fair market value tool), (2) reviewing CROs’ and/or sites’ proposed changes to the study-specific budget parameters (in partnership with other business lines internally), (3) ensuring the delivery of high quality, compliant, effective, and timely results, (4) maintaining productive relationships with internal client groups, (5) leading ongoing process improvements and training sessions (including participating on critical initiatives), (6) onboarding, training, and mentoring peers, and (7) potentially having direct reports.

  • Provide subject matter expertise for assigned therapeutic areas
  • Accountable for ensuring that performance and efficiency standards are met for assignments
  • Perform in a manner that is consistent with Regeneron’s values
  • Provide ongoing guidance to peers on site budgeting
  • Apply a fair market value tool and relevant data to develop total investigator grants, per subject cost estimates, and budget scenarios
  • Apply the per subject cost output along with the protocol design, historical information, and operational approach to figure out overall investigator grant cost
  • Develop and present budget scenarios to study teams
  • Engage with relevant partners from early planning throughout the end-to-end budgeting lifecycle
  • Understand the nuances between early and final budget estimates
  • Help develop and enhance site budgeting processes
  • Work closely with partners and effectively communicate with them, in order to ensure that business objectives are met
  • Handle site budgeting related escalations effectively and efficiently and conduct issue resolution of moderate to high complexity
  • Develop and enhance relationships with partners
  • Ensure that internal systems are updated in a timely, accurate, and complete manner
  • Effectively and efficiently prioritize assignments
  • Stay abreast of changes in industry standards and help identify new best practices to contribute to continuous improvement
  • Help train others on site budgeting and industry practices
  • Manage changes to study scope, ensuring timely budget amendment and implementation
  • Responsible for making timely decisions and direction of outcomes
  • Single point of contact for non-standard budget line items which require internal approval
  • Lead ongoing, process improvements and training sessions (including participating on · strategic initiatives)
  • Develop guidance documents
  • Onboard, train, and mentor peers
  • Potentially manage direct reports
  • May require up to 25% travel

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience with clinical site budgeting at a biopharmaceutical company, CRO, or site. Required minimum of 6 months of applicable mentoring and training and/or matrix-level people management experience.
