Job Details
Resilience is seeking a talented Research Associate for the Technology Evaluation team in the Cell Therapy Cyto Innovation group. The successful candidate will serve as a key team member advancing the cell therapy biomanufacturing platform within Resilience. The Research Associate will assist with new technology evaluation to implement best-in-class technologies for cell therapy applications across the Resilience biomanufacturing network. The technology evaluation team will work in close collaboration with colleagues in platform R&D, process and analytical development, and other cross-functional teams.
Job Responsibilities
Perform cell culture process development work, including development of Resilience’s cell culture expansion strategies to support bioreactors, 2D and 3D cultures, and other cell culture initiatives.
Cell culture process development activities will include:
Passaging cells, or expanding primary cells
Creating and testing cell banks (e.g., iPSCs)
Operating mammalian cell culture bioreactors
Media and buffer preparation, maintaining a clean and well-organized laboratory space, and other essential tasks to support cell culture work
Analytical assays to support operations (cell counts, metabolite and titer analysis, spent media analysis, etc.)
Documenting experimental procedures and performing data analysis
Other process development-related tasks to support lab operations
Maintain and foster a safe and compliant working environment
Assist with organizing and streamlining work activities
Ensure adequate and appropriate inventory of materials and supplies
Ensure equipment is appropriately maintained and calibrated
Support design, procurement and testing of process development equipment
Ensure documentation and data management practices are followed
Support collaborations with technology developers and suppliers
Overall, support the Cyto Innovation team to achieve its objectives
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a biological science 0-3+ years relevant experience in cell therapy process development and/or immunology
Understanding of key laboratory skills including: cell culture methods, aseptic technique, bio/chemical analytical methods, operation of mechanical and computerized equipment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
