The Role:

This role reports to the Senior Director of Facilities, it is a full-time onsite position based in San Francisco.  This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on Facilities Specialist to manage the day-to-day functions of the department across multiple Olema facilities including research lab and office.

What You Will Do:
  • Provide general facility monitoring and support service
  • Conduct weekly facilities rounds and inspection
  • Monitor and maintain critical lab systems (LN2, Milli Q, CO2)
  • Perform all aspects material management including shipping receiving, mail distribution, and lab restocking
  • Support research team with all infrastructure needs including vendor relationships, service and maintenance of scientific equipment, and coordinate calibrations
  • Respond to facility requests, assess problems, and take the necessary corrective action
  • Grow knowledge of all operational aspects of building systems
  • Coordinate with outside contractors for the service and repairs of equipment
  • Maintain office spaces to Olema quality standards

What You Will Bring:

  • 2+ years of shipping and receiving
  • Prior experience working in a lab setting
  • Ability to lift 15+ pounds
  • Basic budgetary and contract administration policies and procedures
  • Assessment and recommendation of repairs/upgrades of facility or infrastructure
