The Position
The Biomarkers and Translational Science team seeks a Research Associate for advancing Immune-Stimulating Antibody Conjugates (ISACs) from pre-clinical to first-in-human studies. They will contribute to efforts in the identification and characterization of biomarkers in primary cell assays and the quantification of target expression across cell types and disease indications. As a member of a collaborative team, you will play a key role in building Bolt’s industry-leading ISAC pipeline, gaining experience in both small and large molecule drug development. Technical expertise with immunohistochemistry in both human and animal tissue and ex vivo tumor models are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
• Planning and execution of IHC/IF assay development, including microtomy/cryotomy, antibody validation, imaging and analysis
• Isolation, characterization, and culture of primary tumor and immune cells to assess drug activity and functional responses
• Evaluation of potential biomarkers using ELISA (MSD or Luminex), gene expression assays (DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, RT PCR), and flow cytometry
• Summarizing data using analysis and visualization software such as Excel, Prism, FlowJo, and HALO
• Maintain thorough documentation of all experiments and generate SOPs to support transfer of assays to external vendors
Job Requirements:
• B.S. or M.S. in biological sciences or related fields
• 4+ years of laboratory experience using IHC, IF, FACS, ELISA, or other antibody-dependent assay with at least 1 year of experience with histochemical processing/staining and/or antibody validation
• Experience with automated stainers (Bond Rx), multiplex IHC assays, and image quantification
• using digital image analysis software is a plus
• Demonstrated desire and ability to learn, understand and master new techniques
• Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and execute experiments with minimal oversight
