We have a full time Quality Control Lab Assistant position available supporting our Quality Team open in Saint Cloud, Minnesota.  We hold every member of our team to a high standard of excellence – because everyone on our team makes an impact on our success and contributes to our ability to thrive in the rapidly changing environment.


We are looking for a motivated person who is eager to learn and grow as a member of our team.  In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Quality Control Department with the daily, weekly, and monthly tasks and goals such as quality control testing, shelf-life testing, and packaging event evaluations on Microbiologics products.


This position is entry level into the quality field.  You will work full time – Monday – Thursday 9-hour days and a half day on Friday. 


Some key responsibilities in this role include:


  • Responsible for labware:
    • Preparation of labware to be autoclaved
    • Sterility testing
    • Residue checking of washed labware
    • Wash labware when necessary
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance of the laboratory equipment
    • Setting up QC organisms
    • Taking inventory and ordering of supplies
    • Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, i.e. staining station, pH meter, VITEK
    • Verification of pipettes
    • Recording temperatures as required
    • Receiving reagents, media and other lab items
  • Environmental Monitoring and water testing
  • Clerical work involving filing and data entry review
  • Conduct special projects as needed
  • Performing testing on prepared and purchased media via
    • Growth Promotion Testing
    • Dilutions, plating, and counting samples
  • Prepare reagents
  • Documentation of receipt and routing of testing samples from various production departments
